hamilton, new jersey, this morning. we will see fog to start with. it will be slow to clear out. it's thick in delaware, too. dover and southern delaware seeing thick fog. easing already in millvale. but it's still socked in the northeast philadelphia airport and light fog in the wrights town area. when we are not seeing fog, we got clouds, so you can leave the sunglasses at home. it will be dry and warming. we start at 58 degrees. by 10:00, 65 degrees. 70 degrees at 1:00 t. neighborhood by neighborhood forecast in ten minutes. jessica boyington. first alert traffic. >> we have an accident around street road and wood haven road. you can see it into the right-hand shoulder. not if you back up behind that scene. for now, police activity on the 16, it's just something to watch

out for. because there is not a huge delay. as for our drive times, we're still doing okay on 95 southbound, in the other direction from wood haven to the voon street expressway. that's where we see jams and volume in the morning time. no problems on the schuylkill t. schuylkill to 95, a 15 minute trip. but with that fog comes some speed restrictions on the new jersey turnpike, down to 45 miles per hour around exit 12, a big stretch right there. 45 miles per hour, tracy. we continue to follow this breaking news. at least one person died when a plane that took off from philadelphia crashed near queens. matt delucia is live with details we have learned overnight. film us in. >> reporter: emergency workers are still on the ground there in new york searching the waters off the coastline.

it's similar to the image you see here from the plane manufacturer. the plane took off here about 7:00. it was on the way to new hampshire. but it never made it. take a look at this video from the scene and what appears to be a piece of the plane found in the atlantic ocean. police did find a man's body off breezy point in queens, new york. investigators have been finding more pieces of the plane since then. the 911 call came in about an hour after takeoff. it wasn't long before it was off the shore line. we are going over video calls. take a listen here as the search intensified once that debris was found? >> we recovered parts of the

wep wepg. >> we can get more, but we got debris, it's close to shore. i don't know if you guys can come out in a zodiac. >> we are getting shd in the jet ski right now. >> reporter: and, of course, there are plenty of questions related to this crash, including how many people were on that plane based on some of that flight information awas alluding to earlier. it appears to be a two-seater plane, although the emergency crews said it may have also been a six-seater plane. so for the investigators and the emergency workers, we hope for some more daylight. that will aid tem out there on the awes. we will continue to follow this story. for now, though, live in northeast, philadelphia. >> all right. we are also following breaking

news no norris town, montgomery county. we know that two people are dead. there was some type of shooting pence an apartment there. investigators are trying to figure out what went wrong. we know that both people were shot. nbc 10's katy zachary is gathering new information, talking to investigators on the scene. she will have a live report coming up in about a half an hour. . the jury has not reached a verdict yet in the fraud trial of fatau, wallace nbc 10 was in center city as he arrived at the federal courthouse t. first full day of deliberations for the jury yesterday. now, prosecutors claimed fatau, jr. lied to banks to get business loans to support his extravagant lifestyle and lied on his taxes to cover his tracks. the defendant is the son of congressman fatau who is neared news anchor renee fatau.

mayor kenny is working on his administration as expected. he outlined his transition na office. one of the biggest priorities is getting money for education. kenny says he will also work to increase trust in the state police department. well, a homework assignment is sparking concern. >> one parent is downright mad about it. 8th graders were asked to analyze the scenario, in that scenario, a teen was drinking, had a one-night stands and got an std. now, the teacher wanted students to apply the principless they learned in the book "the 7 habits of highly affected teens" to that story. when amy loper saw that scenario, she wanted answers. >> i have told these kids everything they should have to know about sex, drug, alcohol. one bad decision will lead to the rest. this is vulgarity at the utmost.

team therapy overdose, his parents tell us he is still critical. but he condition is improving. they took these pictures with the nearly one-year-old infant yesterday at children's hospital, philadelphia. he was transferred there from st. christopher's hospital, where doctors gave isaac ten times the usual amount kneaded to treat his rare form of cancer, his father says he understands why it's troubling for other kids with cancer. >> in the back of their mind, they are figuring, wow, if this can happen to them, imagine my child. i wouldn't want this to happen to nobody's child. >> reporter: st. christopher said administrators are deeply sorry. they are working to prevent something like this from happening again. a stolen ipad is much more than a theft to a local woman. >> it's not a toy for us. it's how we talk to each other. >> next, a plea for decency.

sports teams receive money to honor phillies at games. republican lawmakers released that report yesterday. it shows the department of defense paid nearly $7 million in taxpayer money to pro sports teams to honor the military gamesch such tributes include national anthem, full field american flags and ceremonial first pitches. law makers have slammed the sports lesion over getting paid for those events. this area's defense authorization bill includes language that would ban the pay and as we take a live look at citizens bank part, the same report shows the phillies received more than $48,000 from the debt of defense over a span of two years. now this isn't illegal, but some lawmakers say the problem is that patriotism is being bought with taxpayer money. >> to find out the taxpayers are paying for it. it kind of cheapens the whole

lot. that's simply not right. >> nfl commissioner roger goodell says the league will investigate. if any inappropriate payments are found, the money will be refunded to the government in full. the phillies sent us this statement that reads, any suggestion that the phillies were paid for on field tribute is incorrect. each year the phillies provide discounted and complimentary tickets. as the report indicates, the dollar amounts cited were solely for picture purchases and concession stand vouchers for two group outings. well the eagles fans are gearing up for a rival biev week. you know, eagles fans are known as some of the most passionate in the nfl. it turns out they're one of the more thirsty fan bases around. according to website backtrack, eagles fans rate 3rd among bases in terms of blood alcohol
